Missing Friends.

Information is requested respecting a missing friend named George Cuthbert; height 5 feet 11 inches, fair complexion, light j brown hair, blue eyes, two front teeth in upper jaw missing, wore dark clothes when last seen. No further description given. Mr. Cuthbert is known to Judge Clark, Westland ; Mr.

Pendergast, Aitorney-General; Mr. South, Solicitor; and Mr. Sewell, a late member of the Government.

Information is requested of the present whereabouts of the person hereafter named and described. William L. Gamble, 36 years old, about 5 feet 10 inches high, fresh complexion, dark brown hair and whiskers,

stout build, native of the north of Ireland ; has resided many years in Victoria; at one time had a store at 21, Flinders Lane, Melbourne, and subsequently at the Ovens. He left for New Zealand about four years ago, and twelve months afterwards was at the Queenstown diggings, since which period he has not been heard of; he is likely to be engaged in mining pursuits.
