build, dark complexion, dark hair mixed with grey; worn short, clean shaved, smart appearance, wore a dark cloth frock-coat, Wellington boots, worn msicle of trowsers, and light-coloured Yankee hat; has gone south, and will probably seek employment as shearer in some of the stations; formerly kept the Shamroc c restaurant, and afterwards the “Eoyal. George Hotel,” on the Lower Dunstan, Otago; is a dog fancier. The dog is a black and tan Skye terrier, thirty months old ; answers to the name ol Lario, had on a registered collar for 18G6, Yo. LO6L

A WARRANT has been applied for for the apprehension of a man known by the name of “ Cockney Jack,” charged with larceny of an envelope containing four £5 notes, the property of his employer, Alfred Crisp, Accommodation-house keeper, Waitohi; the offender is twenty-two years old, sft. Sin. high, light complexion, thin features, no beard, or very little; wears new clothes.
