PROCLAMATION.

Police Commissioner’s Office, Christchurch, October 6, 1865. Wiiekeas on Monday, the 4th September last, Mr. D. Walmsley, of the Bank of New South Wales, was robbed by four or five armed men, between No Town and the Twelve Mile, on the Grey River goldfields, of 821 ounces of gold dust, and about £I,OOO in notes.

It is hereby proclaimed that the Crown Law Officers have intimated the decision of his Excellency the Governor to grant a free pardon to any person implicated in the robbery referred to, who shall give such information as shall lead to the apprehension and conviction of either or any of the offenders R. C. SHEARMAN, Commissioner of Police.
