Acquired : Amalgamated block of reverted Crown leases set aside for development between 1933 and 1950. Development Programme : Clearing 340 acres, cultivation 219 acres, grassing 377 acres, 250 chains fencing, house, sheep and cattle yards, renovate three houses and two water-supplies. Progress : 305 acres cleared and cultivation programme carried out, 377 acres grass, 143 chains fences, house and two water supplies, completed. Two ex-servicemen on fixed charges from July, 1949. Progress : Cultivation completed. Five acres cleared, 20 acres grassed, 72 chains fencing, 83 chains renewing of fencing ; sheep-yards almost completed and building programme commenced. EllicoWs, at Te Awamutu, balance of area, 614 acres. Acquired : November, 1933. Ob jective : Two sheep units. Date of settlement dependent on acquisition of adjoining area. Development Programme : 20 chains deepening and widening drains, clearing 41 acres, 37 acres cultivation, 51 acres grassing, 48 chains fencing, 150 chains repairs to fencing, sundry renovations to buildings one water-supply, and 20 chains access tracks. Progress : 41 acres cleared, cultivation completed, 51 acres grassing, 48 chains of fences, 122 chains old fences repaired. All building renovations, watersupply, and 5 chains of access tracks completed. Eureka, at Hamilton, 2,655 acres. Acquired: December, 1949. Objective: Approximately twenty-four dairy units —three for allotment, 1952, two for allotment, 1953, two for allotment, 1954, and approximately seventeen for allotment during the next ten years. Development Programme : Immediate programme includes 365 acres grassing, 65 acres cultivation, 215 chains fencing, two houses, three store-sheds, renovations to two houses, four water-supplies, and 100 chains roading. Later programme will include considerable clearing and grassing, fencing, draining, erection ol buildings, and water-supplies. Progress : Grassing and fencing programme just commenced, and negotiating with contractors for erection of buildings. Foss\ at Pukeatua, 438 acres. Acquired : September, 1933. Objective : two mixed dairy and sheep units for allotment 1952. Development Programme: 15 acres clearing, 67 acres cultivation, 125 acres grassing, 30 chains fencing, 200 chains repairs to fencing, one house and two sets ol other larm buildings, and one water-supply. Progress: Twelve acres of scnib cleared, cultivation completed, 125 acres grassed, 13 chains fencing completed, and 40 chains fencing repaired. Gordonton, at Gordonton, 251 acres. Acquired : March, 1950. Objective : Three dairy unite for allotment July, 1950. Development Programme: 174 chains fencing, three sets buddings, three water-supplies, electrical reticulation, twenty-six chains internal roading, and three sets piggeries. Progress : Fencing and buildings all under construction and bores sunk.
