H.A.C.8.5.: St. Joseph's Branch, No. 424 Waihi (Northern (N.Z.) District). Juvenile F.S. —A.O.F. : Court Pride of Invercargill and Court Lindsay. The following amalgamations were registered—M.U.l.O.O.F. : Clive Lodge with Hastings Lodge (Hawke's Bay District). U.A.0.D.: St. Patrick's Lodge with Rose of Palmerston Lodge (Grand Lodge of Otago and Southland). One instrument of dissolution was registered—B.U.O.O.F. : Aorangi Lodge. There were 1,057 registrations at 31st December, 1946. The position of the various orders in respect of registrations during 1946 is as follows:

Amendments op Rules The rules of thirty-three societies and branches were amended during 1946, three by complete amendment, and thirty by partial amendment. Statistics op Membership and Funds The number of members of 901 lodges* at the end of 1946 was 80,446, as compared with 83,022 at 1945. This shows a decrease of 2,576, equal to 3-10 per cent., as compared with 2-43 per cent, for 1945.

*The word "lodge" when applied to all societies is to be understood as embracing the synonymous terms "court," "tent," &c., as used in the various orders.
