Sir, — In accordance with the provisions of the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, I have the honour to submit herewith the report of the operations under the Act for the year ended 31st March, 1939. Lands proclaimed. The lands set apart for selection by discharged soldiers during the year totalled 148 acres, making a grand total of 1,454,221 acres proclaimed since the inception of the scheme.
