No. 159.—Petition of L. Studholme, of Christchurch. Praying for a full inquiry into the circumstances surrounding his dismissal from the Police Force. I am directed to report that the Committee is of the opinion that the allegations of the Petitioner should be inquired into by a Magistrate, and, with a view to such an inquiry being held, the Committee recommends that the petition should be referred to the Government for consideration.
