Cinematograph Films Amendment Bill. I have the honour to report that the Industries and Commerce Committee has carefully considered the Cinematograph Films Amendment Bill, and recommends that the Bill be allowed to proceed, with the amendments shown in the copy of the Bill hereto attached. 25th October, 1934. Alex. Harris, for Chairman.

No. 177.—Petition of W. W. Thomson, of New Plymouth, and 9 Others, and 26 Petitions of a Similar Nature, as per Schedule attached. Praying that a minimum retail price be forthwith fixed for the sale of motor-spirits. I am directed to report that the Committee has no recommendation to make. The Committee, however, expresses the opinion that an investigation into the working of the Commercial Trusts Act with a view to preventing undue price-cutting is desirable, and recommends accordingly.
