ORDERS OP REFERENCE. Extracts from the Journals of the House of Representatives. Friday, the 2nd Day of August, 1929. Ordered, " That a Committee be appointed, consisting of ten members, to consider all petitions from M to Z that may be referred to it by the Petitions Classification Committee ; to classify and prepare abstracts of such petitions in such form and manner as shall appear to it best suited to convey to this House all requisite information respecting their contents, and to report the same from time to time to this House, and to have power to report its opinions and observations thereon to this House ; also to have power to call for persons and papers ; three to be a quorum : the Committee to consist of Rev. Clyde Carr, Mr. Jenkins, Mr. Kyle, Mr. Lye, Colonel McDonald, Mr. Makitanara, Mr. Massey, Mr. Samuel, Mr. Semple, and the mover." —(Hon. Mr. Ransom.) Thursday, the 15th Day of August, 1929. Ordered, " That all petitions not finally dealt with during the sessions of 1928 be again referred to the same committees that they were referred to during the said sessions."—(Right Hon. Sir Joseph Ward.) Monday, the 7th Day oe October, 1929. Ordered, " That, in view of the announced intention of the Government to go fully into the question of superannuation, this petition (J. H. W. Wardrop's) be referred back to the Committee for further consideration." —(Mr. Field.) Wednesday, the 9th Day of Octobeb, 1929. Ordered, " That the petition of M. J. Marsh be referred direct to the Public Petitions M to Z Committee."— (Mr. Fraser.) Monday, the 14th Day of October, 1929. Ordered, " That the report of the Public Petitions M to Z Committee on the petition of the creditors of the Mount Eden Motor-bus Co., Ltd., be referred back to the Committee for further consideration."—(Mr. Semple.)
