No. 285. —Petition of Susanna Cosgrove, of Auckland. Praying that she be granted the widow's pension. 1 am directed to report that the Committee is of opinion that the petition should be referred to the Government for favourable consideration, and that provision should be made for payment of a pension to the guardians on behalf of the children, at the same rate as would have been payable had a widow's pension been in force at the time of the mother's death. 4th October, 1928.

Praying that steps be taken for the construction of a bridge across the Waitemata Harbour.
