No. 164. —Petition of Frederic Francis Wolter, of Wellington. Praying that a position may be found for him in the Government Service, or that he be recommended to the Executive of the League of Nations for employment, and that compensation be granted him for hardships brought about by his internment during the war. I am directed to report that the Committee is of opinion that this petition should be referred to the Government for consideration. 28th August, 1923.

No. 31.—Petition of James Johnson Wilson, of Whakatane. Praying for compensation for injuries received whilst serving in the Navy. I am directed to report that the Committee has no recommendation to make with regard to this petition. 28th August, 1923.

No. 151. —Petition of Cecily Anastasia Wolfe, of Auckland. Petitioner states that her husband, Colonel Wolfe, after long military service, was retired from the Defence Department through ill health, without any pension, and is now quite unable to earn sufficient to support his family. She prays for relief. I am directed to report that the Committee has no recommendation to make with regard to this petition. 28th August, 1923.
