General. The books in connection with the works are kept at the Thames office. Many roads and engineering surveys, plans and tracings were made. The Land Drainage Engineer, Mr. 0. N. Campbell, who is in local charge of the works, has, as usual, spared no pains to expedite and ensure success of all works under my control, and my thanks are due to him for his assiduous attention and resource in all matters. Mr. G. Tuck, foreman dredgemaster. and his assistants are also deserving of commendation for the conduct of work in their hands. The accompanying plan shows the present and proposed state of works, I have, &c, J. B. Thompson, Chief Drainage Engineer. James Mackenzie, Esq., 1.5.0..
