. Moeraki Domain. Sections Nos. 15, Block 11, 13, Block 111, and 4, 5, 6, and 7, Block XIV, Town of Moeraki. Area, 23 acres 3 roods 34 perches. Work done during- year : A hall lias been erected on the domain to commemorate the coronation of His Majesty King George V. Improvements now on domain : Hall, fencing, and trees. A portion of the domain is leased. Proposed operations for ensuing year : Levelling, and planting trees. Nasebt Domain. Section No. 23, Block I, Naseby Survey District. Area, 120 acres. Improvements now on domain : Grandstand, racing-track, and fencing. Used for racing. Ocean Beach Domain. Sections Nos. part 28 and 31, Block VII, Otago Peninsula Survey District, and 4 and 6, Block XII, Dunedin and Mast Taieri Survey Districts. Area, 221 acres 2 roods 11 perches, During the year the lease of the swimming-baths expired, and they were again leased for a further term of three years at an increased rental. The St. Clair Beach has much improved; marram-grass and lupins have thrived exceedingly well during the past summer, and pouripouri and English glasses are also thriving. The strong south-west winds have assisted materially in building up new sand-dunes on the lagoon-site, and so rapidly has this been going on that the protective fences had to be constantly raised. A new departure has been made in marram-grass growing. Larger plants than usual have been planted, and this method has been entirely successful, and in some places has taken the place of more expensive scrub fences in checking drifting sand. During the year a thousand Pinus muricata were obtained and planted, and are growing very satisfactorily. Several donations were received for this purpose. [Note. —This report is for the year ended 31st March, 1912.] Otokia Domain. Section No. 47, Block I, Otokia Survey District. Area, 12 acres 2 roods. Work done during year : Trees planted, and post-and-wire fence erected round same by the Brighton Improvement Society. Improvements now on domain: Planting, fencing, post-and-chain stand for horses, notice-board, and lifebuoy and line. Used for grazing, picnics, and sports. Proposed operations for ensuing year : Further beautifying and improving the domain. Outkam Domain. Sections Nos. 31 and 32, Block VII, Maungatua Survey District, and 14 to 20, and 22, Block I, and 7, Block XV, Town of Outram. Area, 402 acres 1 rood 5 perches. Work done during year : Fences renewed and repaired, hedges trimmed, and general maintenance. Improvements now on domain : Buildings, plantations, hedges, fences, swings, seats, pump, tennis-courts, bowling-green, and water-supply. Used for bowls, tennis, football, sports, cycling, picnics, general recreation, and grazing. Proposed operations for ensuing year : Completing two tennis-courts and general maintenance. Owaka Township Domain. Section No. 11l (formerly part of Section No. 3), Block VIII, Glenomaru Survey District. Area, 3 acres 3 roods oB perches. Improvements now on domain : Fencing, tennis-court, and dressing-shed. Used for sports, shows, tennis, football, and picnics. Pai.merston Domain. Sections Nos. sto 18, Block XVI, Town of Palmerston. Area, 3 acres 2 roods Work done during year : Fences repaired. Improvements now on domain : Boundary-fence. Used for cricket, football, and general recreation. Pounawea Domain. Sections Nos. 31, 53, 54, 55, 58, 59, 60, rmd 61, anchw closed mad, Block VI, Glenomaru Survey District. Area, 13 acres 1 rood 16 perches. Improvements now on domain : Fencing, gate, clearing and grassing. Used for camping, picnics, also by tourists. Proposed operations for ensuing year: Stumping, burning, and grassing. QuEENSTOWN DOMAIN Blocks IJV, LV, and LVI, Town of Queenstown. Area, 7 acres and 19 perches. Work done during year : Fencing, and a portion of the domain planted with suitable trees and shrubs. Improvements now on domain : Fencing and planting. Used for forestry purposes. Proposed operations for ensuing year : Fencing and planting the remaining portion of the domain, Ranfurly Domain. Sections Nos. 1 to 15, Block XIII, Town of Ranfurly. Area, 10 acres 2 roods 36 perches. Work done during year: Coronation gates erected .-md grass-seed sown. Proposed operations for ensuing year : Erecting wire netting and planting trees.
