HAWKE'S BAY LAND DISTRICT. Awanui Domain. Section No. 6, Awanui Township. Area, 2 acres and 28 perches. This domain is under the control of the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Napier. Work done during year: Band-rotunda erected, gravelled path formed under the pine-trees on the western side of the domain, swimming-baths constructed in commemoration of the Coronation of King George V, trees planted, general maintenance, and the lower portion of the domain cleaned up and stumps removed. A permanent caretaker is employed. Improvements now on domain : Caretaker's dwelling, grandstand, dressing-rooms, conveniences, concrete fence on Higli Street frontage and post-and-wire fences on other boundaries, gates, swimming-baths with all necessary conveniences and offices, hedges, trees, and garden plots. Used for cricket, football, hookey, ami as a pleasure-ground. The Highland Society hold their annual sports on the domain. Leased for grazing. Used for grazing. Proposed operations for ensuing year : Planting trees. Kumeroa Domain. Section No. 1, Block V, Town of Kumeroa. Area, 10 acres. Improvements now on domain : Fencing, plantation, pump and well. Used for grazing. Makaraka Domain. Known as the " Government Paddock," Turanganui Survey District. Area, 48 acres. Work done during year : General maintenance. Improvements now on domain : Fencing, hedge of ornamental trees, pavilion, conveniences, and water-supply laid on. Used for grazing.
