Danneviiikk. Wednesday, 7th June, 1905. The Commission met at 11.30 a.m. Present: Messrs. McKerrow (Chairman), Anstey, Johnston, McCutchan, and Paul. The following witnesses were heard: Messrs. Tansey, Dibmer, Livingstone, Robertson, Stewart, Cunningham, and Wylie.

Waipukurau, Wednesday, 7th June, 1905. The Commission met at 7.30 p.m. Present: Messrs. McKerrow (Chairman), Anstey, Johnston, McCutchan, and Paul. After discussing the itinerary, the Commission adjourned at 9 p.m. Waipukurau, Thursday, Bth June, 1905. In the forenoon the Commission visited and viewed the settlements of Hatuma Forest and Lindsay. In the afternoon the Commission met at 1 o'clock. Present: Messrs. McKerrow (Chairman), Anstey, Johnston, McCutchan, and Paul. The following witnesses were heard : Messrs. W. C. Smith, M.L.C., Williamson, Meriken, Joll, Butler, Falconer, Parsons, Duncan, and Wright. Hastings, Friday, 9th June, 1905. The Commission met at 11.45, after visiting the settlements of Tomoana, Mahora North, Mahora South, and Raureka, and the Finley District. The following were heard from 1 p.m. : Messrs. Ross, Griffin, Wellwood, Lowe, Percival, Thompson, Lane, Anderson, Kerr, Hawthorn, Gold Smith (Commissioner of Crown Lands, Hawke's Bay). Pahiatua, Saturday, 10th June, 1905. The Commission left Hastings by the mail-train, and met at Pahiatua at 2 p.m. Present: Messrs. McKerrow (Chairman), Anstey, Johnston, McCutchan, and Paul. The following witnesses were heard: Messrs. Nestor, McCardle, Macdonald, Bayley, Carolan, Johns, It. Smith, Eade, Baylis, Escott, Matheson, and Dunne. The Commission adjourned at 6.30 p.m. Mastehton, Monday, 12th June, 1905. The Commission met at 9.30 a.m. Present: Messrs. McKerrow (Chairman), Anstey, Johnston, McCutchan, and Paul. The following witnesses were examined : Messrs. Butt, Cooper, George, Corrigan, and Percy. The Commission adjourned at 3.10 p.m., and returned to Wellington by the mail-train leaving at 3.30. Wellington, Wednesday, 14th June, 1905. The Commission met at 2.30 p.m. Present: Messrs. McKerrow, Anstev, Johnston, McCutchan, and Paul. The following witnesses were heard': Messrs. Everett, Wrett, Askew, Hampton, and Gosse. The Commission adjourned at 6.5 p.m. Wellington, Thursday, 15th June, 1905. The Commission met at 10 a.m. Present ■ Messrs McKerrow (Chairman), Anstey, Johnston, McCutchan, and Paul. The following witnesses were heard : Messrs. Osborne, Adnams, Howard, Young. Reese, Jacobsen, Lawson, Westbrook, Hall, O'Brien, Burdan, Ward, and Hogg. The Commission adjourned at 9 p.m. Wellington, Friday, 16th June. 1905. The Commission met at 9.30 a.m., and went into committee Present- Messrs McKerrow (Chairman), Anstey. Johnston. McCutchan, and Haul. The following witnesses were heard: Messrs. J. G. Wilson. O'Regan, Griffiths, Sutherland, Heyes, McVicar, Martin, and Gwilliam. The Commission adjourned at 9.30 p.m.
