EEPOETS. No. 894.—Petition of H. 0. Nolan and 100 Others. Petitioners pray that express trains between Auckland and Rotorua should stop at Papakura on sale-days. I am directed to report that, as the prayer of this petition has been granted during the the Committee therefore has no recommendation to make. 23rd August, 1904.

No. 84. —Petition of J. Austin. Petitioner prays for compensation on account of alleged wrongful dismissal. The Committee, having heard the petition read, and also the statement of the Railway Department thereon, reports that, after giving the case its full consideration, it cannot recommend any interference with the decision of the Board of Appeal, to which Austin's case was referred. 23rd August, 1904.
