Petitionees pray that the Parangarahu Block, Wainuiomata, Wellington District, may be put in the hands of the Public Trustee, to be dealt with on their account, in order to stop disputes as to leasing. Petitionee alleges that a portion of the purchase-money of the Ngaire Block was misappropriated by a Native agent named Charles Bichardson Bayley, and prays for inquiry and relief. I am directed to report that the Committee, having fully inquired into this matter, consider the petition of so frivolous a nature that it has no recommendation to make. 24th July, 1900.
