RAILWAYS AUTHORISED BUT NOT COMPLETED (RETURN RELATING TO).

Return to an Order of the House of Representatives dated the 12th July, 1898. Ordered, "That there be laid before this House a return showing,—(l) All railways which have been authorised to be constructed but are yet uncompleted; (2) the dates of their authorisation; (3) the amounts expended on each railway up to the 31st day of March, 1898 ; and (4) the amounts required to be expended to complete each railway."—(Mr. Guinness.)
