Return to an Order of the House of Representatives dated 25th August, 1896. Ordered, "That there be laid before this House a return showing all pensions payable to retired Civil servants and others by the Government of New Zealand, with names of pensioners, amounts of pensions, dates from which each pension became payable, nature of the office held, or duties performed by recipient."—(Mr. Hoea.)
