Ordered, "That a return from the Railway Commissioners ho laid before this House showing—(l) The names of all railway servants who have received promotion from January, 1889, to January, 1894; (2) the position held at the time of promotion ; (3) if promoted more than once, the different positions to which they have been promoted, and the length of service in each position ; (4) present position held by all such persons; (5) what special qualifications (if any) did they possess for the positions to which they were promoted ; (6) what guiding principle was observed in making promotions."—(Mr. Millar.)
