This district is bounded towards the north-east and east generally by the Ashley Electoral District, hereinbefore described; towards the north by the Kaiapoi Electoral District, hereinbefore described; again towards the east and the north-east generally by the Riccarton Electoral District, hereinbefore described; towards the south-east by the Ellesmere Electoral District, hereinbefore described, to the Brookside and Irwell Road ; thenco towards the south-west by that road to Buckley's Road ; thence towards the south by the last-named road to the Raikaia and Irwell Road ; thence by that road to Selwyn and Bealey's Road ; thenoe again towards the south-west by Selwyn and Bealey's Road to the Southern Trunk Railway-line ; thence again towards the south-east by that railway-line to the Main South Road; thence by that road to the Rakaia River; thence again towards the south-west by that river to its source near Whitcombe's Pass; thence again towards the south by a line due west to the summit of the Southern Alps ; and thence towards tho north-west by the Westland Electoral District, hereinbefore described. This district is bounded towards the north-east and north generally by the Selwyn Electoral District, hereinbefore described; towards the south-east and again towards the north-east by the Ellesmere Electoral District, hereinbefore described, to the ocean ; again towards the south-east by the ocean ; towards the south-west by the road which forms the south-western boundary of Section No. 1328, Wakanui Survey District; and by the continuance of that road through Section No. 4844 to the road which forms the north-eastern boundary of Section No. 14860; thence by that road and the road forming the eastern boundaries of Sections Nos. 14743 and 14861, Reserve No. 1420, Sections Nos. 15984, 14869, 14862, 14706, 4921, 7185, 4920, 16887, 4919, 5594, 4923, 15690, 7901, 7873, 8102, 7970, 8092, and 6607 ; thence again towards the south-east by the road forming the north-western boundary of the last-mentioned section, and its northern side produced to the Ashburton River ; thence again towards the south-west by the Ashburton River and the north branch thereof and Boundary Creek to the source of the said creek near Mount Taylor ; thence by a right line to the said Mount Taylor; and thence by Runs Nos. 115 and 117 to the mouth of Lake Stream, in the Rakaia River; and thence by a line across that river to the Selwyn Electoral District aforesaid, the place of commencement. Rangitata. This district is bounded towards the north-east generally by the Selwyn Electoral District and the Ashburton Electoral District respectively, hereinbefore described; towards the south-east by the ocean to a point in line with the eastern boundary-line of Section No. 5895, Arowhenua Survey District; thence towards the south-west by a right line to the easternmost corner of that section ; thence by the said Section No. 5895 to Ohapi Creek ; thence by that creek to Barker's Road, near the northern boundary of Section No. 6862, Geraldine Survey District; thence towards the south by Barker's Road to the Southern Trunk Railwayline ; thence again towards the south-east by that railwayline to Section No. 5961; then by the said Section No. 5961 and Section No. 11526 to the Waihi River; thenoe across that river and by Section No. 9031 to Geraldine Road; thence towards the east by Geraldine Road to Boundary Road; thence by Boundary Road and the road intersecting Section No. 15372 to the Haehae-te-Moana; thence again towards the south-west by that river to the road forming the western boundary of Section No. 25453, Geraldine Survey District; thence towards the north-west by that road and Campbell's Road, passing Woodbury, to the Waihi River; thence again towards the south-west generally by that river to the Waihi Gorge: Road; thence by that road to the northern boundary of Section No. 34450, Four Peaks Survey District; thence by a right line to Trig. Station D, Four Peaks Survey District; thence by a right line to the nearest

source of the south branch of the Orari River, and by that branch to its confluence with tho north branch of the said Orari River ; thenoe by the said north branch to a point due north of the north-eastern corner of Section No. 31990, Opuha Survey District; thence by a line due south to the said section; thence by the southern and eastern sides of Tripp's Pass Road to the North branch of the Opuha River; thence by that branch to its source; thence by a line due north to Forest Creek ; thence by the said Forest Creek to Run No. 77 ; thence by that run to the Thumbs; thence by the summit of the watershed over Alma Peak to the Southern Alps; and thence towards the north-west by the Westland Electoral District, hereinbefore described, to the Selwyn Electoral District aforesaid. Pareora. This district is bounded towards the north-east generally by the Rangitata Electoral District, hereinbefore described ; towards the south-east by the ocean to the mouth of Opihi River ; thence towards the south by the right bank of that river to the road which forms the eastern boundary of Rural Section No. 21601 (Stonyer's Road) ; thence towards the east by that road and its continuation to the Albury Railwayline ; thence by a line across that railway-line ; thence again towards the north-east by the said railway-line to a point opposite to the south-eastern corner of Section No. 14449; thence again towards the south-east generally by a right line to the said south-eastern corner ; thence by the road which forms the south-eastern boundary of the said Rural Section No. 14449, and the road which forms the south-eastern boundaries of Rural Sections Nos. 12740, 12622,12585,12529, 12725, 12817, 15049, 13975, 15926, and 18,045; thence by the road which forms the southern boundaries of Rural Sections Nos. 18045 (aforesaid) and 15904, by the road which forms the south-eastern boundaries of Rural Sections Nos. 17311, 19165, 19454, 19427, 19222, 18561, and 23283, by the road which intersects Rural Section No. 18558, and by that road continued in a south-westerly direction through Rural Sections Nos. 18559, 19552, and 19553, and passing Rural Sections Nos. 25600, 21782, and 29557, and through Rural Sections Nos. 23303 and 18688 to the road known as Tycho Plat Road ; thence towards the east by the said Tycho Flat Road to its junction with the road which forms the northeastern boundary of Rural Section No. 18872 ; thence again towards the north-east generally by the Timaru Electoral District, hereinafter described, to the ocean; thence again towards the south-east by the ocean to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary-line of Section No. 17735, Waimate Survey District; thence towards the south-west generally by a right line to the north-eastern corner of that section ; thence by the said Section No. 17735 and Section No. 9655 to its northernmost corner; thence by a right line to the road at the southernmost corner of Section No. 9617, Waimate Survey District; thence by that road along the south-western boundaries of Sections Nos. 9617, 6995, and 6997 to Section No. 16692 ; thence by the road intersecting that section and its continuation past Sections Nos. 17748, 17655, 17654, 17749, 17653, 17652, 20666, and 24459 to Section No. 17729; thence by the road intersecting the last-men-tioned section and its continuation through Sections Nos. 17728, 22852, 22033, 17732, and 18103, Waimate Survey District ; thence by the road forming the western boundary of Section No. 18021, and that road continued through the said Section No. 18021, and past Sections Nos. 19001, 22031, 22849, 18834, 18380, 10510, 22688, 18999, 18998, 22886, and 24709, to the south-western boundary-line of Section No. 28854, Otaio Survey District, and thence by that boundaryline to the Otaio River ; thence by that river to its source; thence by a line due west to the north branch of the Waihao River; thence by the said north branch to its source ; thence by a line due west to the Hakateramea River; thence by that river to its source ; thence again towards the south-east by a right line to Hakateramea Pass; thence by a right line over Trig. Station Q, Hewling's Survey District, to the Waitaki River ; thence again towards the south-west and towards the west generally by the Waitaki River, the Ohau River, the eastern shore of Lake Ohau, and the Hopkins River to its source; thence by a line due west to the summit of the Southern Alps ; and thence towards the north-west by the Westland Electoral District, hereinbefore described, to the Rangitata Electoral District aforesaid, the place of commencement. Timaru. This district is bounded towards the north-west and north by the Pareora Electoral District, hereinbefore described, from the road which forms the north-eastern boundary of Rural Section No. 18872 to the ocean; towards the south-east by the ocean to a point due east of the mouth of the Otipua Creek; thence towards the south by a right line to the mouth of that creek ; thence towards the south-west by the said Otipua Creek to the road which forms the north-western boundary of Rural Section No. 1690; thence again towards the south generally by that road and its continuation through Rural Sections Nos. 2407 and 3753, and past Sections Nos 8167, 8838, 9635, 9743, 10702, 12244, 12464, 15736, 15928 14376, 15803, 14784, 15520, 15801, 15800, 15790, 15757, and
