DESPATCH OF MAILS FROM AND TO LONDON (DATES OF).

Return to an Order of the B.ouse of Representatives, dated 26th August, 1892. Ordered, " That a return be laid before this House showing, for a period of twelve months and up to latest possible date, the date of despatch for this colony of all mails from London via Australia, of their arrival at Adelaide, despatch from an Australian port, and of arrival in Wellington; the date of despatch for this colony of all mails from London forwarded by Direct steamers, and of arrival in Wellington; the date of despatch for this colony of all mails from London forwarded via San Francisco, and of arrival in Wellington ; the date of despatch from Wellington of all mails for London via Australia, of their arrival in Melbourne, their despatch from Adelaide, and arrival in London; the date of despatch from Wellington of all mails for London to be forwarded by Direct steamers, and of their arrival in London ; the date of despatch from Wellington of all mails for London to be forwarded via San Francisco, and of their arrival in London; and showing also in all cases the number of days in transit between these final ports." — (Mr. Duthie.)
