Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by " The New Zealand Consolidated Stock Act 1877 Amendment Act, 1881," and of every other power and authority in that behalf enabling him, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby appoint Walteb Kennaway, of Westminster Chambers, Victoria Street, Westminster aforesaid, Esquire, and a Companion of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, to be an Agent for the purposes of " The New Zealand Consolidated Stock Act, 1877," and its amendments, to take, hold, and exercise the office of such Agent on and from the first day of October now next ensuing, and therein and thenceforth, and in conjunction with the said Sir Penrose Goodchild Julyan, to have, exercise, and perform all the powers and authorities vested in the said Agents by or under the hereinbefore in part recited Order in Council of the fifth day of November, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-one. Notification to the Bank of England of Mr. Kennaway's appointment as a Stock Agent. Onslow, Governor. Order in Council. At the Government House, at Wellington, this tenth day of September, 1891. Present : His Excellency the Governor in Council. Whereas under and by virtue of the powers conferred upon him by " The New Zealand Consolidated Stock Act 1877 Amendment Act, 1881," the Governor in Council, on or about the fifth day of November, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-one, appointed Sir Francis Dillon Bell, of No. 7, Westminster Chambers, Victoria Street, Westminster, a Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, the Agent-General for the Colony of New Zealand, and Sir Penrose Goodchild Julyan, of London, a Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, and a Companion of the Bath, to be Agents for the purposes of "The New Zealand Consolidated Stock Act, 1877 :" And whereas the said Sir Francis Dillon Bell intends to vacate his said office as one of such Agents on the thirtieth day of September instant, and by Order in Council bearing even date herewith (and a copy whereof is hereto attached) the Governor in Council hath appointed Walter Kennaway, of Westminster Chambers, Victoria Street, Westminster, aforesaid, Esquire, and a Companion of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, to be an Agent for the purposes of " The New Zealand Consolidated Stock Act, 1877," and its amendments, to take, hold, and exercise the said office in conjunction with the said Sir Penrose Goodchild Julyan, on and from the first day of October now next ensuing, and as in the said Order in Council particularly mentioned : Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance of the requirements of " The New Zealand Consolidated Stock Act, 1877," and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby notify to the Bank of England that the said Walter Kennaway has been so appointed an Agent to act in conjunction with the said Sir Penrose Goodchild Julyan for the purposes and in the manner mentioned in the said Order in Council bearing even date herewith. Mr. Perceval's appointment as Agent-General. Onslow, Governor. To Westby Brook Peeceval, of Christchurch, in the Colony of New Zealand, Esquire: Greeting. Whebeas by the fifty-eighth section of "The Public Revenues Act, 1891," it is enacted that the Governor in Council may from time to time appoint, and may in like manner remove and may reappoint, a fit person to be the Agent-General for New Zealand in the United Kingdom, who shall have full power to transact all business within the United Kingdom on behalf of the Colony of New Zealand, subject to such instructions as he may from time to time receive from the Governor in that behalf : And whereas the office of Agent-General is at present held by Sir Francis Dillon Bell, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, and Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, who purposes shortly to vacate such office, and it is expedient to appoint a successor in the manner hereinafter provided : Now, therefore, I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by the hereinbefore recited section of the said Act, do hereby appoint you the said Westby Brook Perceval to be the Agent-General for New Zealand in the United Kingdom, to have, hold, exercise, and enjoy the said office during pleasure, but subject, however, to the provisions of the said Act and the terms of this present instrument of appointment : And I do declare that not later than one week after your arrival in London, in the United Kingdom, you shall give notice in writing to the person then holding the office of Agent-General under the said Act, that you are prepared to enter
