Note. —There are included in this return sixty-one applicants, holding 9,961 acres, to whom no return forms were sent, owing to their applications having been recently granted, or the land being unsurveyed, so that their improvements are not included in the above. Under the heading "Land Fenced," it will be seen that, in addition to what has been inserted as actually fenced, a large quantity of fencing is given in chains (about 1,200), and also that a quantity of material for fencing had been laid on the land for the purpose of erection.
