EMIGRANT & COLONIST'S AID CORPORATION AGREEMENT.

No. 12. Mr. C. Sttjaet Bailey to the Hon. W. Gisboene. Emigrant and Colonist's Aid Corporation, Sic, — 3, Queen's Square, Westminster, S.W., 30th May, 1872. With regard to your Memorandum, No. 78, for the Agent-General in London, relative to the insurance of the lives of emigrants sent out to New Zealand by this Corporation, a copy of which was forwarded from your Department to Colonel Feilding on the 27th December last, I have the honor, by direction of the Board, to inform you that they gladly avail themselves of the consent of the Government of New Zealand to insure the lives of emigrants sent out by the Corporation, and the head of each emigrant family will be called upon to insure his life in the New Zealand Government Insurance Office accordingly, to the extent of not more than £100. No. 13. The Hon. W. Gisboene to' the Hon. W. Fitzheebeet. Sic,— Colonial Secretary's Office, Wellington, 27th May, 1872. I have the honor to enclose a copy of a letter received this day from the Secretary of the Emigrant and Colonist's Aid Corporation, in which he states that the contract entered into between the Government of New Zealand and Colonel Feilding, for the colonization of a portion of the Manawatu Block, was ratified at a special Board, held on the 27th March last. No. 14. The Hon. W. Fitzhebbeet to the Hon. W. Gisboene. Sic, — Superintendent's Office, Wellington, 27th May, 1872. I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of this date, enclosing copy of a letter received from the Secretary of the Emigrant and Colonist's Aid Corporation, in which he states that the contract entered into between the Government of New Zealand and Colonel Feilding, for the colonization of a portion of the Manawatu Block, was ratified at a special Board, held on the 27th March last.
