GERMAN SOLDIER DIES
FIELD-MARSHAL MACKENSEN BERLIN, Nov. 9 British headquarters in Berlin announced that Field-Marshal August von Mackensen, who commanded the German armies on the eastern front and later in the Balkans in the first world war, has died at the age of 96 on his estate near Celle.
