FRANKTON STATION

IMPROVEMENTS PLANNED REPAIRS TO PLATFORM That improvements at the Frankton railway station would be effected in the near future was indicated today by the resident engineer, Mr C. H. Hawk. Plans had been made for the completion of the work of placing blocks on the front of the western side of the platform, he said. Concrete blocks had been cast for some time awaiting the arrival of the necessary labour. It was expected that work would be started before the end of November.

Mr Hawk said that wartime conditions had delayed the repairing of the Frankton station but this task would be undertaken as soon as possible.
