OBITUARY

MRS K. A. GILLANDERS The death has occurred of Mrs K. A. Gillanders, of Te Kuiti. Except for a short period at Silverdale Mrs Gillanders had lived in Te Kuiti for 37 years. Born at Carnock, Rosshire, Scotland, 90 years ago, she came to New Zealand with her husband in 1908. They were foundation members of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. A grandson, Dr. Alaister Loan, was in Hongkong when it was overrun by the Japanese. Mrs Gillanders’ husband died in 1932. She is survived by four sons, one of whom has been a missionary in Brazil for 20 years, and six daughters.
