Found Dead In Bed An elderly man, William Pendock, was found dead in bed at the hotel at which he resided at Frankton this morning. Dr. K. P. L. MacGregor reported that death was due to natural causes. Airman Promoted Mr J. Mclvor, Paterangi, has been officially advised that his son Norman Mclvor has recently been "romoted pilot-Officer, N.Z. Royal Air Force. He has been serving overseas for more than three years, and at latest advice was based in Scotland. He is one of a family with a splendid war record, for six of his cousins are at present serving with the Armed Forces.

Boy Found Drunk A boy aged 16 years who had been taken into custody while under the influence of liquor was brought before the Children’s Court in Hamilton today, when it was stated that the lad had ’ drunk a considerable quantity of wine allegedly given him by a stranger on the river bank. As a result he wandered into the street and entered a picture theatre. Mr S. L. Paterson, S.M., admonished the lad and gave him some sound advice for his future conduct. New A.T.C. Headquarters Final approval has been given by the authorities in Wellington for the removal of the Hamilton headquarters of the Air Training Corps, R.N.Z.A.F., from the premises formerly occupied by the Post Office money-order office to Alexandra Hall, which has been in occupation by the Army Department for the past three years. As soon as the necessary interior alterations have been made the Air Training Corps will be transferred to the hall which will provide more suitable and commodious accommodation. The intention is for the premises being vacated by the corps to be occupied by the new Waikato Land Sales Committee.
