AGRICULTURAL SCHOOL
SOUTH AUCKLAND PROPOSAL | A request for a conference between members of the board and members of a representative committee which had been set up in Hamilton in regard to the establishment of an agricultural high school in the South Auckland district was received at a meeting of the Auckland Education Board yesterday. The chairman, Mr G. K. Hamilton, said that the question of agricultural instruction in the South Auckland area was going to be a big one and he suggested that a committee should be set up to meet the Hamilton committee. The following were elected to the committee:—Messrs A. Bell, W. I. Bowyer, J. M. McWhannell and S. B. Sims, with the supervisor of manual training, Mr G. H. Shorland, and an agricultural instructor to act in an advisory capacity.
