AUCTIONEERS’ QUOTATIONS The auctioneers report that a full yard- 1 ing- of fat wethers met with keen competition and prices realised were in ad- 1 vance of those obtained last week. Fat ! ewes were penned in increased numbers!, and values were llrmer. A full entry of rat lambs sold readily at recent quotations. Ox beef was penned in smaller | numbers, the market remaining- firm at : last quotations. The offering- of cow and I heifer beer was larger than usual and, | while heifers were in firm demand and ; sold freely, values for fat cows were slightly easier. Values for an average j entry of veal were unchanged. A large j \-arding of all classes of pigs was penned. I Competition throughout was steady, prices! remaining on a par with last week's quotations. Quotations are:— Extra prime wethers made from 38s to 395; prime fat wethers, 36s to 37s 6d; j medium, 33s 6d 10 355; light, 3is to 335; heavy prime ewes, 23s to 23s 9d; medium: fat ewes, 21s 6d to 22s 6d; light, 18s to 2 0s; prime fat lambs. 26s to 28s 6d; ! medium. 24s to 25s 6d; light, 2US to 235; unfinished lambs, 16s to iss.
