REHABILITATION WANTED
MORRINSVILLE COMMITTEE Dissatisfaction with the method or appointment or the local bodies representative to the Morrinsville Rehabilitation Committee was expressed by members or the Piako County Council at the monthly meeting- In Te Aroha. although speakers made it clear that they were not lluding rault with the appointee. .Mi- W. lletherington, who is Mayor or Morrinsville. The chairman. Mr J. M. Stewart, said that last year Morrinsville had been in too big a hurrv, insofar as a eonrerence to decide on a nominee to represent both local bodies bad not been held. Instead, the Rorough Council bad made the appointment and had requested the county to confirm It. Mr D. Johnson explained that the committee, on which he had been co-opted last year, was working quite well. However, although Mr Johnson had full powers to vote and to take part in meetings, be relt that the county was not directly represented. . . In view of the fact that the time had arrived Tor a review or the present appointment, the council resolved to nominate Mr D. Johnson as the local body representative
