CLAIMS OF WORKERS WELLINGTON, Thursday Following a conference of representatives of dairy factory employers and employees held in Wellington in connection with the workers’ claim for a new award, the Minister of Labour, the Hon. P. C. Webb, said the parties had agreed to make application to the Arbitration Court for leave to refer the union’s claim back to the Conciliation Council for further negotiation. He expected the Conciliation Council would meet next Tuesday, and he had hopes that the employers and workers would reach a satisfactory agreement.
