STRIKES AND STOPPAGES

ORGANISED BY EXTREMISTS CANBERRA, Nov. 22 Strikes and stoppages in Australia during recent months have been organised by extremists toward a definite end, says a bulletin issued today by the Associated Chamber of Manufacturers. “Sooner or later Australia must face up to the meaning of the industrial troubles which have wracked the country for so many months,” adds the bulletin. “The signs are that the denouement is nearer than many imagine. We have long passed the stage when even the dullest mind attributes strikes to some hardship of employment, or, to dissatisfaction with wages and conditions of work.” The bulletin criticises the “small cells of extremists who have worked I their way into practically every in- | dustry in the country,” and says their i objective is the introduction of a “new order” in* Australia
