Negro Youth’s Achievement
Darwin Turner, a' 13-year-old negro who reached the sixth grade at school when he was seven, has been enrolled at Cincinnati University. He is the youngest freshman to enter the university in its 125 years of history. The boy’s mother, a former schoolteacher, holds four university degrees. His father, a Chicago chemist, is also a university graduate. His grandfather, a biologist, and his grandmother each held two university degrees.
