OBITUARY
MR ROBERT COWLEY The death has occurred of Mr Robert Cowley, of Hamilton, at the age of 80 years. Mr Cowley was bom in Lancashire, England, coming to New Zealand in 1912. He settled in the King Country, later purchasing land in Raglan where he farmed for a number of years. He was well known for his interest in horticultural shows, acting in the capacity of judge for a number of years. Mr Cowley retired to Hamilton 20 years ago and was a prominent exhibitor at the Waikato Winter Show for many years. His sporting activities included bowling and he was a member at different times of several clubs in the Waikato. He is survived by his wife and seven sons and two daughters. There are 23 grandchildren and one great-grand-child. Four sons served in the last war and several grandsons are at present on active service.
