“ALL YOU HAVE”

EISENHOWER’S DEMAND

INSPECTION OF FLIERS FROM DAWN TO DUSK LONDON, April 11 “The time is coming when you will be flying from dawn to dusk. I am going to demand everything you have.” This was the message which General D. D. Eisenhower gave to fighter pilots when he visited air force stations in England today. General Eisenhower, when making his first visit to United States Ninth Air Force medium bomber stations, watched Marauders take off and form in the air for a third attack in 30 hours against targets on the Continent. Before leaving the base General Eisenhower climbed into the pilot’s seat of a Marauder and inspected and congratulated the crew, which had carried out over 50 missions.

General Eisenhower carefully studied strike photographs of a recent Marauder attack on the railway yards at Creil and Hasselt and E-boat nests at Ijmuiden.
