MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS
CANDIDATE FOR COUNCIL
Mr D. I. Gate, who served on the Hamilton Borough Council during 1940-41, has announced his intention of standing for the council at the municipal elections next month. A returned serviceman from the last war, he was president of the Waikato Returned Services Association for a number of years. He was recently discharged from the Army after serving 3£ years as an instructor, during the latter part of which he held the rank of warrant-officer in the No. 4 (Hamilton) Area. In civil life Mr Gate was engaged for several years as a builder.
