THREW RATIONED FOOD
WIFE-BEATER BREAKS LAW (Received Jan. 18. 3.15 p.m.) LONDON, Jan. 17. Warning that rationed food must not be used as missiles in domestic squabbles was given by a Food Ministry solicitor in a Police Court today, when a man was charged with throwing such things as butter, bacon, margarine, cheese and bread at his wife. He was fined £5 for having wasted food.
