WEDDING
McLEOD—WHITTAKER The marriage was solemnised at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Claudel ands, recently, of Muriel, only daughter of Mr and Mrs W. Whittaker, 25 Clarence Street, Hamilton, to Sergeant Lindsay Gordon, second son of Mr and Mrs R, McLeod, 19 Wye Street, Frankton. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. H. G. Gilbert, and Mr E. W. Apthorp played the wedding music. A military guard of honour was formed by members of the bridegroom’s company. Entering the church with her father, the bride wore a charming frock of candlelight satin and her short tulle veil- was held in place with an arum lily. She carried a bouquet of arum lilies and carnation s.
The two bridesmaids, Miss Lois Sturgeon and Miss Ada Forsman wore blue and pink Crocks of pewter satin. They wore juliet caps of flowers to match their bouquets of blue delphiniums and pink carnations.
