ROLL OF HONOUR
CORPORAL KENNETH AIKEN Reported as having died of wounds, Corporal Kenneth lan Aiken was the only son of Mr and Mrs K. L. Aiken, of 3 Seddon Road, Hamilton. Corporal Aiken, who was 22 years of age, was bom at iiorsham Downs, where he received his primary school education. For two years he was a pupil of the Hamilton Technical High School, after which he was employed for three years in the locomotive branch of the railway department. His principal sporting interest was football. Keenly interested in the territorials, Corporal Aiken joined 18 months before the outbreak of war and served with them until going overseas early in December, 1942. He had seen active service throughout the Tunisian and Italian campaigns.
