WEDDINGS
HINTON—LOVELOCK St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Hamilton, was the scene of a very pretty wedding on September 11 when Shirley Noeline, younger daughter of Mr and Mrs A. C. Lovelock, Tauwhare. was married to Leading-Aircraftman Francis John Guinness, only son of Mr and Mrs G. Hinton, Eureka. The Rev. C. L. French performed the ceremony and Mr E. H. Apthorp presided at the organ. The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a deep cream satin brocade gown with toning veil of tulle. She carried a bouquet of daffodils and freezias.
The bride was attended by Miss June Hinton, sister of the bridegroom, who wore a graceful frock of eau-de-nil taffeta, with matching shoulder-length veil. She carried a bouquet of cyclamens and violets. Aircraftman Ray Ranstead was the best man.
The guests were received bv the bride’s mother, who wore a brown frock with cinnamon hat and accessories fnd autumn-tinted shoulderspray. Mrs Hinton wore a navy frock, hat, and accessories and a white shoulder-spray. The bride travelled wearing a tailored Air Force blue costume with navy hat and accessories. The bride is continuing her duties as a school dental nurse while the bridegroom is serving in the R.N.Z.A.F.
