U-BOAT SUNK
SUPPLY SHIP DESTROYED e LONDON, Sept. 27 Another U-boat has been sunk in the Indian Ocean. The submarine was sighted off the African coast and was twice attacked. Depth charges were dropped over the vessel and oil was later seen to spread on the water. Netherlands and British motor torpedo-boats today sank a large German supply ship off the French coast. The sinking of a large enemy supply ship off the French coast last night is reported. She was attacked by metor torpedo boats of the Netherlands Navy, supported by our light coastal ships. A torpedo hit was scored amidships.
