When he fell while playing football during the week-end John Bell, aged 19, a miner, of Huntly South, received an injured shoulder. He was admitted to the Waikato Hospital. Concert for Patriotic Funds The Theatre Royal was comfortably filled last night for the concert promoted to aid the candidature of the Munitions representative in the Patriotic Baby Contest. A very entertaining and well varied programme, including many Maori items, was presented. The Maori items were provided by members of the Moananui Maori Club and individual performers from Horotiu. Mobile Health Exhibition
In order to educate the public in regard to food values and child nutrition the mobile health exhibition of the Department of Health has begun a tour of New Zealand. Miss M. Frengley, nutritionist, of the Department of Health, is in charge of the exhibition and associated with her is Miss Cocks Johnston, tutor to the co-ordinating committee of the Women’s Institute and the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union.
