CHURCHES’ WITNESS
EXCHANGE OF PULPITS The month of witness arranged by the Hamilton Council of Churches in conjunction with the Ministers' Association was inaugurated yesterday with an exchange of pulpits. A 1 St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church the preacher in the morning was the Rev. W. Gatman and in the evening Chaplain-Major V. R. Jamieson. The services at St. Paul’s ’ Methodist ’ Church, London Street, were conducted by the Rev. C. L. French and the Rev. H. G. Gilbert and at the Hamilton Baptist Church by the Rev, Dr. J. J. North and the Rev. C. L, French. Exchanges of pulpits alsc took place in suburban Methodist and Presbyterian Churches and in the Salvation Army Citadel and the Church of Christ, Claudelands. Two united .intercessary services will be held during this week and on Friday evening the first of four open-air services will be conducted in Garden Place.
