RELIGION IN RUSSIA
ARCHBISHOP IMPRESSED (Received Sept. 25, 1 p.m.) LONDON, Sept. 24 “I am convinced that there is full freedom of worship in Russia and I have every reason to expect it will continue after the war,” said the Archbishop of York in a statement at Moscow. He added, “Marshal Stalin, being a great statesman, recognised religions power. I have never experienced such a hu*e congregation as that at Moscow. There are 40 or 50 churches open and others are reopening. All anti-religious propaganda will be discontinued.”
