MAORI ELECTORATES

POLLING DAY TOMORROW Voting in the four Maori electorates will take place tomorrow between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., at the numerous polling places established at centres of Maori population throughout the country. Three of the Maori electorates are in the North Island and the fourth covers the whole of the South Island and Stewart Island. All employers must give Maori employees a reasonable opportunity of recording their votes. The sale of liquor on polling day to any Maori is prohibited.
