OCCUPATION OF ATHENS LONDON, Sept. 7 The Germans occupied Salonik. and Athens a few days ago, says th Budapest correspondent of the Stock holm newspaper Allehanda. The Italians were withdrawn and, the Germans took over. Machine-gum wese placed in the streets, apparently in preparation to smash any attempt at revolt. Many acts of sabotage have occurred recently, after which increasingly severe reprisals have been taken against the population. The Germans recently requisitioned great quantities of foodstuffs and consequently the food situation is again critical. All leading intellectuals and patriot politicians have been sent to concentration camps.
