Patterson, Remuera, Auckland, for his poem, “Youth Passes.” The following have been specially commended: Mrs Elsie M. Ryan (Wadestown), and Misses L. E. Smaill (Dunedin), Mary Stanley (Hamilton), and Mary R. Greig (Wanganui). It was announced at the annual meeting of the New Zealand centre of the P.E.N. recently that nearly 100 entries had been received for the competition.
