POLICE PRESENTATIONS
CONSTABLES TRANSFERRED Members of the Hamilton Police Force assembled yesterday to bid farewell to two officers under transfer, Constable A. E. Valentine, who after four years in Hamilton goes to Waihi, and Constable E. O’Mahoney, who is now attached to the Frankton police staff. In the unavoidable absence of Inspector G. B. Edwards and Senior-Sergeant A. G. McHugh, the two constables were presented by Sergeant A. E. Coddington with an occasional table and a box kerb respectively, with good wishes for their future success. Constable Valentine, in addition to his police duties, ,has been prominent in swimming circles, both administrative and competitive, and is the local police champion. Constable O’Mahoney is a keen devotee of rowing.
